Bi-Zi Farms is a staple of our great community. It provides a source of healthy nutrition, wholesome fun and a sense of camaraderie with our neighbors that we desperately need to preserve right now.
The state Department of Ecology is overstepping on landowner’s rights in this case (“Dispute over water permit could spell the end for sixth-generation Bi-Zi Farms,” The Columbian, Aug. 10). They are keeping the farm owners from utilizing their property to benefit our local area as well as their own family. It’s a travesty that this is happening. We need to band together to support our neighbors in this so that they may keep running their farm and oppose the Department of Ecology.
