Boys basketball: Mountain View tops Rochester by 30 points

The Mountain View boys basketball team jumped out to a 25-10 lead after the first quarter and didn’t look back as the Thunder beat visiting Rochester 76-46 in a non-league game Thursday.

Jacob Martin had 14 points, and Daniel Dolev 13 to top Mountain View (2-0) scorers.

Rochester (0-2) was led by Tony Groninger’s 15 points, and Sawyer Robbins had 11.

TOUTLE LAKE 62, LA CENTER 52 — Zach Swanson scored 14 of his game-high 36 points from the free-throw line as Toutle Lake won its season-opening game at La Center (0-3).

Swanson was 14 of 17 from the line including 11 of 14 in the fourth quarter.

Colby Hylton led the Wildcats in scoring with 15 points, Julius Frazier had 12 and Boston Walker 11.
