Letter: Fight viruses, don’t succumb

By Jeffrey Young, Camas

We have two viruses currently infecting humans: coronavirus and hatred.

Both require a vulnerable host. Some infected will live; some will not be so lucky. Some will fight, and others will succumb. Some will educate themselves about the viruses, others will ignore it. Some will help to prevent the viruses, others will hasten their spread.

There are new strains of these viruses forming all the time, and unfortunately this will always be true.

We all have choices to make; truth or lies, science or myth, conscience or politics.

Choose wisely, our long-term survival as a species will depend on it.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
