Crews from the Vancouver Fire Department battled a blaze that spread to two units at a duplex complex in Vancouver’s Lincoln neighborhood on Monday.

The fire was reported at 2:56 p.m. at the Logan’s Court duplexes in the 1100 block of West 36th Street in Vancouver, according to dispatch records.

Crews had to battle the fire from the exterior and dealt with a collapsed ceiling that hampered access to the fire.

Neighboring units were evacuated, according to emergency radio traffic.

The fire was declared under control just under an hour after it was first reported.
