Heritage’s defense held Battle Ground to 26 total yards as the Timberwolves dominated in the opening 4A/3A Greater St. Helens League game of the season on Friday at Battle Ground High School.

Heritage rushed for 244 yards, led by 67 yards and a touchdown from junior quarterback Nikki Scott, who left the game with an injury in the third quarter.

His replacement, sophomore Khalil Osbin, wasted no time, tossing for a 5-yard touchdown on his first throw, connecting on a slant to Alex Anderson. Kedyn Bolds and Wyatt Scott also added touchdowns for the Timberwolves.

Battle Ground struggled to move the ball, collecting just four first downs in the game, and ended the first half with negative yards.
