MINNEHAHA — Nonprofit no-kill cat rescue shelter Furry Friends received a grant of $6,250 from the Laspa Family Fund after a member of the Laspa family adopted a cat from the organization. The grant will aid medical care for cats and kittens at the shelter, including spay and neutering procedures, vaccinations, microchips, and parasite control. Some cats also need dental care and other, more expensive procedures. “2020 (was) an extremely difficult year for Furry Friends financially due to COVID-19, and we’re very grateful for this support,” a news release reads. “Many thanks to our friends at the Community Foundation for Southwest Washington for facilitating the receipt of this gift.” For more information, visit www.furryfriendswa.org, email information@furryfriendswa.org or call 360-993-1097.
