Letter: Twitter ban is totalitarian

By Christine Nulph, Vancouver

The president of the United States, the leader of the free world, has just been permanently banned from Twitter. Am I the only person in Clark County who finds this alarming? The only one who senses our country is taking an alarming turn towards totalitarianism?

Like Trump or hate him, he is our president and nothing justifies this act of seditious tyranny. I have a bumper sticker on my car that reads: “When the governments boot is on your throat whether it is a left boot or a right is of no consequence.” My dear comrades, the left boot is crushing the life out of our Constitutional way of life.

We must all unite as Americans to stop this insanity.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
