STEVENSON — Stevenson-Carson School District distributed special holiday meal boxes to help feed families in need on Dec. 17. Organizations that made donations included the Stevenson-Carson Education Foundation, the Community Foundation for Southwest Washington, the city of Stevenson and InvestEd. Funds provided will help with a variety of needs, including school supplies, technology equipment, the district’s internet cafes, personal protective equipment, internet accessibility and food box supplies for the district’s holiday meal boxes. A message was sent out before Thanksgiving to ensure there would be enough boxes. They didn’t want to turn anyone away. “There are always those in need at this time of year, however, 2020 is unlike any other and we want to do our part to help as many as possible,” Superintendent Ingrid Colvard said in a news release.
