Letter: Republicans should condemn attack

It seems incredible to me that everyone is not condemning the attack on the Capitol and the people that aided, abetted and encouraged an insurrection against our government.

Imagine if they had met their goals and had stolen the Electoral College votes, kidnapped Nancy Pelosi and hanged Mike Pence on the gallows on the Capitol steps. Would Cruz, Hawley and the senators and representatives that voted against accepting the Electoral College ballots be OK with that? Is that what the Republican Party wants? Would they all have gone along with it and turned Trump into a nonelected dictator?

Here in Clark County, the Republicans are threatening Jaime Herrera Beutler, R-Battle Ground, for voting and standing for the truth and against sedition. How corrupt is a party that takes part in the Big Lie that the election was stolen and wants to overturn, by force, the results of a free and fair election? It seems like you can’t spell Republican anymore without a “Q.”
