BATTLE GROUND — Battle Ground Elks Lodge No. 2589 recently received two grants from the Elks National Foundation; $2,000 of that will help the Battle Ground Adventist Community Services diaper bank. The Battle Ground Education Foundation will receive a $5,500 Beacon Grant to help local families faced with housing instability. “For us, this is a powerful reminder of our mission, to support our community with a focus on homelessness, housing, health and education support. These grants, which build on our commitment to community, are a tangible extension of our mission,” said Lomar Majorowicz, grant coordinator for the lodge.
