COVID-19 vaccinations will be available this week, by appointment, at the Clark County Event Center at the Fairgrounds, according to the state Department of Health.

To make an appointment, you must first confirm you’re eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine under Phase 1A or 1B-1 using the Phase Finder tool. Phase Finder does not make you an appointment. Once confirmed through Phase Finder, you can make an appointment at one of the mass vaccination sites listed below. Please note, hours and registration information are different for each location.

Registration opens at noon today. About 800 appointments will be available each day. You are encouraged to make an appointment online. If you need assistance, please call the COVID-19 hotline at 1-800-525-0127, then press #. Language assistance is available.

Tawnia Linde, director of marketing for the fairgrounds, warned that appointments cannot be made on-site. She said people hoping to secure appointments have been showing up at the fairgrounds, only to be turned away.

Hours for vaccinations are 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday-Friday and 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday.

The fairgrounds is at 17402 N.E. Delfel Road, north of Vancouver.

Last week, appointments went quickly. Locally and regionally, there is still more demand for vaccine than available vaccination slots.
