A woman was attacked Friday at Lacamas Regional Park near Round Lake but escaped without injury, according to a news release from the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.

At about 4:30 p.m., the woman was walking alone on a trail when she was distracted by a man, who approached and grabbed her and attempted to move her off the main trail, the news release said.

The woman fought off the attacker, fled and called 911, according to the news release.

The man was described as white and in his early 20s, with a small build, brown shaggy hair and light facial hair. He was last seen wearing gray shorts, a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt and all-black Nike “skater-type” shoes, the news release said.

Anyone with information to identify the man is asked to call the sheriff’s office or the Camas Police Department.
