A woman was killed by a hit-and-run driver while walking on Interstate 5 in Vancouver late Friday night, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The incident occurred at about 11:30 p.m. near Milepost 2. The woman, whose identity was not released, was struck by an unknown vehicle that did not stay at the scene, according to a State Patrol statement.
She died at the scene, the statement said.
