Raptors Road Trip: Ridgefield 6, Port Angeles 2

The Raptors started their six-game road trip Tuesday by winning their fourth straight against the Lefties. A four-run fifth inning helped break the game open for Ridgefield.

KEY MOMENTS: Tanner Jacques hit a solo home run in the fifth to break a 1-1 tie, and John Peck, Coby Morales each had RBI singles, and Will Chambers brought in a run with a fielder’s choice.

KEY PLAYERS: Raptors relief pitcher Carson Walters (3-1) retired 10 batters in a row from the sixth inning into the ninth. He allowed one run on one hit in 5 innings with eight strikeouts and two walks. … Leadoff hitter Caden Connor was 3 for 5 with an RBI, two runs scored and two stolen bases. … Peck was 3 for 4 with a run and two stolen bases.

NEXT GAME: Ridgefield (19-12, 6-1 second half) at  Port Angeles (8-20, 1-3), 6:35 p.m. Wednesday.
