A Genesee County, Mich., man was so excited he won $1 million on a scratch-off lottery ticket, he accidentally drove off with the gas pump still in his car.

Michigan Lottery said the 59-year-old man, who chose to remain anonymous, got his triumphant Winning Millions ticket at a Speedway in Fenton, at 3340 Owen Road.

“I stopped at Speedway to get gas and decided to get a ticket while I was there. I started scratching the ticket while my gas was pumping,” the winner told Michigan Lottery. “When I saw I’d matched the number 14 and then revealed the $1 million amount underneath, I started yelling, ‘Are you kidding me?!’”

Lottery officials said the winner visited lottery headquarters to cash in his ticket and chose to get his winnings in a lump sum of about $634,517 than in annuity payments for the full amount. He plans to get a home, car, and take a vacation.

“I have been playing since the Lottery began and finally won big,” the player told lottery officials. “Winning a $1 million prize is life-changing.”
