A second teenager has died following a Monday crash on state Highway 503 near Gabriel Road, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Troopers responded to the head-on crash around 1:30 p.m., and say David Zarb, 46, of La Center crossed the center line of the highway in his pickup and crashed into a southbound Mazda. Zarb was allegedly driving drunk, according to court records.

First responders pronounced 16-year-old Ivy A. Hunt, from Napavine, dead at the scene. She was a passenger in the Mazda.

The Mazda’s other occupants, Harumi R. Yato and Emi L. Yato, both 15 and from Yacolt, were taken to the hospital with critical injuries. Emi died Thursday morning at Randall Children’s Hospital in Portland, according to updated court records.

Danlette Yato, 66, from Yacolt, was also transported to the hospital with minor injuries, court records state.

Zarb appeared Tuesday in Clark County Superior Court, accused of vehicular homicide and vehicular assault. Judge Gregory Gonzales set his bail at $500,000. He is scheduled to be arraigned June 25.
