Letter: Please get vaccinated

By Grethe H. Barber, Washougal

Unbeknownst to me, about two weeks ago I was exposed to a person who tested positive for COVID-19, as did almost all family members. Today one of this particular family remains in intensive care.

Others near me at this particular time also tested positive for COVID-19. I, however, tested negative, which I believe is because I have received my two doses of the vaccine. Gratefully, I am highly unlikely to infect family and friends near me.

Hence, I urge all of you reading this letter to choose a COVID-19 vaccine: clinically proven! Do we need a lottery to reassure us that this vaccine is necessary?

For the sake of your family and all whose lives you touch, please get vaccinated against COVID-19.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
