RIDGEFIELD — Teegan Moore, a seventh-grader at View Ridge Middle School, was selected to take part in the National Youth Leadership Forum: Explore STEM. The forum is an academic and career-oriented development event in Denver. Moore was nominated by Sheila Davis, his STEM teacher. Outside of school, he’s involved with church and youth group, and loves to build, be creative and explore nature. At the forum, he’s excited to explore forensics and robotics. “Teegan has shown so much growth this year,” Davis said. “I really appreciate his attention to detail in his designs and his ability to turn his thoughts into drawings and models that communicate those ideas thoroughly. I am so excited for him to expand his interest and knowledge in STEM fields by taking part in the NYLF.” The forum is part of a series of programs by Envision by WorldStrides. The expenses for this experience will cost approximately $3,700. A fundraiser has been set up for those interested in supporting Moore.
