COLUMBIA WAY — Friends of Hospice Southwest Washington held a successful 5k fundraising event June 12. More than 100 people joined the race and met up at Say Ciao afterward for lunch and live music.

A Christmas picture was given away to one person, and there was money donated to the Christmas Box, which will provide funds for patients and families in need during the holidays.

“Thanks to Community Home and Hospice, Ray Hickey House, and the Newcomers Club members, who turned out en masse as well as all the Friends of Hospice members and community members that participated,” said Gail Czech, the nonprofit’s president.

Friends of Hospice Southwest Washington raises funds to help support hospice and palliative care patients and their families through established hospice and palliative care organizations in the region.
