Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler, R-Battle Ground, is now accepting submissions for the 2021 Congressional Art Competition, her office announced Thursday.

The competition is open to all high school students in Washington’s 3rd Congressional District, which encompasses Clark, Cowlitz, Lewis, Pacific, Wahkiakum, Skamania and Klickitat counties and part of Thurston County.

The winner will see their artwork displayed in the U.S. Capitol Building. Second- and third-place winners will be invited to display their work in Herrera Beutler’s office.

To be eligible, submissions must be two-dimensional, no larger than 26-inches long and wide, and no heavier than 15 pounds. Paintings, drawings, collages, prints, photographs, mixed media and computer generated works will be considered.

Artwork should be submitted to jhb.cac@gmail.com via a photo with a student release form. For official rules and student release forms, call 360-695-6292 or email alex.cochell@mail.house.gov.

The deadline is April 26.
