Letter: The Couve is savory

I just want to commend the Savor the Couve program, sponsored by ilani. I hope the participating restaurants are finding it helpful and will be able to stay in business.

I wish the program could be extended for another couple of months, at least.

If you are not familiar with this program, please visit their website at vancouverusa.com/savorthecouve. Basically for $100 you can get a five-course dinner for two, plus drinks. The food and drinks are provided by locally owned restaurants. Every week has a different theme, and different participating businesses. Local charities receive $25 of the cost; a different charity every week. Meals are offered every Thursday through March 25, unless the program is extended. Meals are fully prepared for pickup at WareHouse ’23 for a designated period of time.

My husband and I did Savor the Couve the week that featured female-owned restaurants. We enjoyed our meal so much; I can’t say enough good things about it!

We send a heartfelt thank you to Niche Wine Bar, C’est La Vie, Trusty Brewing, Dediko, Farrar’s Bistro, and Bleu Door Bakery for a delicious dinner. We look forward to visiting all of the participants again.

Thank you to all involved in this local program.
