Police body cameras will not bolster trust so long as law enforcement officers are allowed to be used as taxpayer-funded targets by miscreants as they have this past year. Why are officers not allowed to defend themselves as citizens are? Any citizen who refuses an officer’s commands must understand they do so at their own peril. Under stress, this is no time to argue the finer points of the law. Hold that for the judge later.
