In a game that would come down to the wire, Seton Catholic held out strong to beat Goldendale in the 1A Trico League game.

While Goldendale’s defense was redeeming in getting multiple picks and sacks on Seton Catholic, Cougars’ quarterback Noah Carlos would not be bogged down by this as Seton’s offense was highlighted by its passing game with 247 yards.

Receiver duo CJ Hamblin and Lance Stuck would lead the charge, combining for 242 yards and three touchdowns. Hamblin would catch two scores while also throwing one to Stuck.

Seton came out in the fourth quarter hot, gaining a 10-point lead over Goldendale.

However, Goldendale came back and made it a contest late in the game. Goldendale reached the 2-yard line with 4 seconds to play, and Seton’s defense held.

Goldendale struggled with passing throughout the game, only completing 6 of 19 passes and throwing an interception.

Caleb Smith would be the workhorse for the Timberwolves, scoring three of their four scores off 95 rushing yards and a kick return for a score as well.
