Letter: Nation needs family, prayer

By George Gadbury, Vancouver

America has another pandemic to deal with. Unfortunately, there are no vaccines for the horrendous violence we have seen since Columbine High School. It’s not primarily race related, or religious, or economic or social. Our American culture has been inundated with narcissism, selfishness, greed, and loneliness. We are all naturally created in the image of the Creator. The images we are purged with now are causing unprecedented confusion in terms of our values and our spirit. We are suffering from a cultural personality disorder. Our nation needs to rejuvenate its family atmosphere, and it needs prayer.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
