WASHOUGAL — Local photographer Jenn Robinett, owner of JLyn Portrait Design, raised $1,584 during a fundraiser she called the Pooch Playoffs to benefit the West Columbia Gorge Humane Society.

Sixteen dogs and 11 of their owners participated in the event, while local businesses provided prizes for the final four dogs and the champion. Robinett photographed the dogs in March and people voted on the photos, with the winning pooch announced April 1.

“It was a tight competition, but Charli, a now-6-month-old Bernese mountain dog, was crowned the Ulti-mutt Cutie of Clark County,” Robinett said. Charli is owned by Jim and Margaret Calloway.

“I am already looking forward to next year when I plan to do it all again with a new set of pooches,” Robinett said.
