Letter: Keep guns in home, not elsewhere

I think I have a solution for buying guns.

Granted, we need to register all guns so when a crime is committed we need to know where the gun came from to maybe solve a crime.

I think people should be able to buy any type gun they want, but if that gun is not a shotgun with a three-shell capacity or hunting rifle or pistol that’s been registered with a carry permit and you are off your property, you will be fined no less than $1,000 or six months in jail and the gun will be confiscated. This way you can safeguard your people and property with any type gun you want but either the gun itself or the bullets from the gun or guns leave your property, you get arrested.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
