Battle Ground senior Kaden Perry, an ESPN top 100 recruit and Gonzaga commit, injured his back in Thursday’s loss to Prairie. There is no timetable for his return, BG coach Manny Melo told The Columbian on Friday.

The 6-foot-9 post led Battle Ground to a 3-1 record with four consecutive 30-plus point efforts before injuring his back in the second quarter of a 55-47 loss to Prairie on Thursday. He sat out Friday’s 70-55 defeat to Skyview.

Perry committed to Gonzaga last year, and was the first in the Class of 2021 to announce his intentions to Gonzaga. The Bulldogs now hold the top recruiting class in the nation, including No. 1-ranked recruit Chet Holmgren out of Minnesota, five-star guard Hunter Sallis out of Nebraska and Perry.
