Get crafty

Enjoy free historic crafts at the O.O. Howard House, 750 Anderson St. near Vancouver’s Officers Row, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Make 19th century toys and crafts such as kites, thaumatropes and paper theaters. Open to guests age 6 and up. Walk-ins are welcome if space allows but registration is recommended. Happy art-iversary

Art on the Boulevard, a fine art gallery in the Vancouver Marketplace at 201 W. Evergreen Blvd., is celebrating its 15th anniversary with an exhibit featuring works from 22 artists in a range of styles and mediums. The gallery is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. Two plays, six ways

Magenta Theater partners with The Richland Players and Bellingham TheatreWorks to present “First Times,” with online shows at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday, as well as May 28, 29 and 30. Saddle up

The Clark County Saddle Club is hosting an indoor and outdoor trail course event from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at 10505 N.E. 117th Ave. The courses are open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The cost is $25 for adults to practice all day or $15 for youths. Spruce up the Couve

The city of Vancouver, Parks Foundation of Clark County and Vancouver’s Downtown Association are teaming up to host a spring flower-planting and clean-up event Saturday at Esther Short Park’s Propstra Square, 605 Esther St. Many different sprucing-up projects are available around downtown Vancouver. Volunteers must register and select a time at vdausa.org.
