OGDEN — A “Farm to Families” free food-box event was a success in getting 1,700 boxes to those in need May 14 in the Living Hope Church parking lot.

The event was organized by several nonprofit organizations, including the Coalition of Filipino American Organizations of Washington, in partnership with the United States Department of Agriculture. The goal was to ensure everyone had access to fresh meat, produce and dairy.

“Feeding families in Clark County was a community event made successful by all of the volunteers,” said organizer Elena Dailey.
