Battle Ground Municipal Court is offering an amnesty program from June 1 to 15 that would waive the warrant cancellation fee for people with outstanding bench warrants.

The court hears misdemeanor-level cases and issues a warrant for a defendant’s arrest if they fail to appear for a hearing.

Typically, a defendant must appear in court and pay a $100 warrant cancellation fee to drop a warrant, according to a press release on the new program.
