It’s an overused statement, but you can do this, you can learn about art acquire a painting, print or other artistic piece, and place it in your home.

Where to start: Online. Look at homes for sale that have been styled and staged to look great. Visit museum and gallery websites and pay attention to the type of art that appeals to you.

Fine Art America lets you buy canvas prints, framed prints, wood prints, metal prints and posters online. You can also decorate your home with art-print pillows, phone cases and linens, and help support artists.
