Dunn’s first Portland goal gives Thorns 1-0 win over Gotham FC

Crystal Dunn scored in the 56th minute to give the Portland Thorns a 1-0 win over Gotham FC on Sunday in Harrison, N.J.

The goal was Dunn’s first with Portland. She rocketed a shot from outside the penalty area into the top-left corner of the goal.

It was Dunn’s 33rd NWSL goal, having played three seasons with the Washington Spirit and three with the North Carolina Courage.

Playing their third match in eight days, the Thorns improved to 2-2-0.

Portland controlled the tempo and outshot Gotham FC 8-3.
