Letter: Vaccine mandates are tyranny

By Joshua White, Vancouver
Published: November 2, 2021, 6:00am

In the last year we have seen government overreach in the name of “public health” on a scale that has destroyed the lives and livelihoods of hundreds of thousands all across this nation.

The latest arbitrary mandates in Washington have come in the form of forcing people to get the COVID-19 vaccines or lose their jobs.

Discriminating against people for not receiving a vaccine they don’t trust should be unthinkable and viewed as one of the highest forms of tyranny when commanded by public officials.

I am glad there is a good group of people seeking to put forward a petition to Clark County to make legislation against discriminating on the basis of vaccination status.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
