The second round of Clark County election results released Wednesday afternoon revealed just one reversal as Sadie McKenzie took a narrow lead over Donna Sinclair in the race for the Washougal School Board’s District 3 position.

The vast majority of other races throughout the district continued their initial trends.

On Tuesday night, results showed Sinclair with just a seven-vote lead; McKenzie now leads by 10 votes, with 50.16 percent of the 3,096 votes counted thus far. The race remains too close to call.

In Vancouver, John Blom’s lead over Kim Harless for Position 1 on the city council has slimmed. Blom now leads by just 350 votes — amounting to 50.80 percent of the 21,760 votes that have been counted. That race also remains too close to call.

Support for the Battle Ground schools replacement levy saw a notable increase, now with nearly 1,000 more “yes” votes than “no” votes of the 13,266 counted thus far. Updated results show 53.66 percent of ballots counted so far supporting the levy.

Overall, Wednesday’s results update included 10,950 new votes, bringing the grand total of votes counted to 70,594. The Clark County Board of Elections estimates that there are still 45,000 ballots left to be counted; another update should arrive in the coming days. Official certification will take place Nov. 23.
