Letter: Thanks for election information

By Gail Burgess, Camas
Published: November 7, 2021, 6:00am

I want to express my gratitude to The Columbian and the Camas-Washougal Post-Record for their excellent coverage of our 2021 election season. Also, my thanks to those who wrote to the these newspapers to share their assessments of the candidates.

As a newcomer to Camas, I was able to research and find what I needed in order to make what I hope were informed and thoughtful decisions. My hope now is that the annoying yard signs will disappear quickly. (Honestly, what a poor way to influence an informed vote.) My only disappointment is that so few voters turned out in an election that raised so many critical issues for the future of the health and safety of our cities, our schools and Clark County.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
