Everyone deserves a Thanksgiving dinner, but for some, a meal can be hard to come by. Every year, groups in Clark County work to ensure that all can enjoy a holiday feast.

Some popular events have already passed, such as Dream for Life’s annual free Thanksgiving dinner hosted at Living Hope Church featuring Daddy D’s Southern Style BBQ, which drew hundreds on Saturday.

But it’s not too late. For those in need of a meal this Thursday or Friday, here are some options.

  • Beaches Restaurant will provide free Thanksgiving dinners from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thanksgiving Day at the former Vancouver Fire Station 1 at 900 West Evergreen Blvd. in downtown Vancouver. Boxed meals will be available for pickup or to eat on location. For pickup orders, one box will be provided for each person present.
  • Seeds of Greatness Ministries is collaborating with multiple community partners to provide “grab-and-go” Thanksgiving dinners — supplied by Cracker Barrel — between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Thanksgiving Day at River City Church, 2400 East Fourth Plain Blvd. in Vancouver. Three hundred meals will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • The Perch, an organization that serves young adults ages 15 to 24 who are experiencing unstable living situations or homelessness, will serve a Thanksgiving meal to young adults throughout the day Friday at their center located at 1501 Columbia St. in Vancouver. Meals will be served on a first-come, first-serve basis.
