Letter: An American embarrassment

By Robert Kerr, Vancouver
Published: November 27, 2021, 6:00am

Former President Jimmy Carter is a very happy camper these days, as now he is the second worst president in our history. The present president still has his head in the sand. He ignores rising inflation, border crises, out-of-control fuel prices, grocery prices and every other items purchased by consumers. But he is more concerned about “climate change” and also crowing about his infrastructure bill. Most of it is just socialistic pork, as usual.

And now we have the “Build Back Better” bill that just passed the House. If anyone thinks the primary purpose of this socialistic bill is supposed to help people, get a grip. The primary purpose is to make voters government-dependent, therefore getting their votes to remain in control and power. The American Embarrassment continues.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
