Letter: County needs police cameras

By Kathryn Ketcham, Vancouver

I believe our county law enforcement officers need dash cameras and body cameras.

I was a no vote on the tax levy that stated it was raising money for juvenile detention facilities. I read in The Columbian that the levy was really for body cameras. This was not stated clearly in the measure. Would juvenile detention facilities be improved? Would body cameras be purchased? Who knows, maybe the tax levy money would go to something entirely different. I feel disrespected, duped, manipulated. The tax proposition was entirely misleading.

The Clark County Council needs to stop playing disingenuous games and implement dash cameras and body cameras now.
