Plastic-bag ban brings change for Clark County businesses

Some stores will charge shoppers for reusable bags; others offer paper

Single-use plastic bags are banned in Washington as of Friday, which will change the way that shoppers buy groceries — or at least how they bring them home.

Clark County will have some choices to make. Some grocery stores shifted to supplying thicker, reusable plastic bags at a cost to shoppers of at least 8 cents apiece, while others are offering only paper bag options.
