Interested in knowing what determines how much elected officials get paid? The Salary Review Commission is looking for applicants to fill three seats on its seven-member commission.

Commission members evaluate the relationship of salaries to the duties of the mayor and city councilmembers in order to establish their salary and compensation. If selected, candidates will serve one four-year term.

To qualify, applicants must live within Vancouver city limits and be registered to vote. City officers, employees and their immediate family can not apply.

Submissions are due by 5 p.m. Nov. 7, and applicants must be available Dec. 2 to interview with Mayor Anne McEnerny-Ogle.

Those who are interested can submit their applications at www.cityofvancouver.us/boards. More information can be found at www.cityofvancouver.us/src.
