Plenty of players have had roles in Linfield’s long history of football success. A graduate of Battle Ground High is helping write this year’s chapter.

Tyler Bergeron has started all five games at safety this season for the Wildcats. Saturday, he had seven solo tackles as Linfield beat Pacific 52-23.

That win clinched the 65th consecutive winning season for Linfield, which improved to 5-0.

Bergeron, a senior, is coming off a standout performance the previous week, when he had eight tackles and one interception in a win over Whitworth.

Bergeron leads the team with 19 solo tackles and is second with 25 total tackles.
