I hear people end a discussion or argument with, “Well, you have your facts and I have mine!”
You can have an opinion, a belief, a thought or a contention, but that doesn’t make them facts. Millions of people used to claim the Earth was flat; others claimed it was round. Only one of those was a fact, despite the others’ rabidly held beliefs. Millions of Americans apparently believe coronavirus vaccines don’t work and may be harmful. Factual science says they do work, if only everyone would get them. Believe what you want, but you’re wrong and people continue to die as a result of your stubborn opinion.
