ORCHARDS — Share Vancouver recently benefitted from a nearly $9,500 donation from Orchards Grocery Outlet benefiting the nonprofit’s kids’ backpack food program.

Store co-owner Kenneth Cole said it was the result of a five-week fundraising drive that collected donations from customers and staff members alike. It was the sixth year the grocery store at 11808 N.E. Fourth Plain Blvd. has worked to support the program.

Kim Hash, Share’s director of develoment and communications, praised the effort on social media. “Thanks you to everyone at Grocery Outlet for this amazing support!” she wrote.
