Prep highlights: Mountain View soccer opens by beating Prairie

Ellie White scored twice as Mountain View girls soccer opened its season with a decisive 4-0 win over Prairie on Tuesday.

Lauryn Krith had three assists and also scored a goal. Lexi Frost capped a standout performance with the visiting Thunder’s fourth goal.

Stars of the day

  • Grady Millar, Mountain View boys golf, the freshman shot 4-under 31 to lead the Thunder to a 150-153 win over Union at Fairway Village.
  • Laredo Maldonado, Union boys golf, shot a team-best 2-under 33 in a match against Mountain View at Fairway Village.
  • Alden Fay, Columbia River boys golf, shot even-par 36 to lead the Rapids to a 153-179 win over R.A. Long at Mint Valley Golf Course in Longview.
  • Lizzy Andrew, Ridgefield volleyball, had seven kills and nine blocks as the Spudders beat Washougal 3-0 (25-6, 25-14, 25-10).
  • Kayla Meinel, King’s Way Christian volleyball, had 12 kills and eight digs as the Knights beat Stevenson 3-0 (25-19, 25-20, 25-23).
  • Lauren Dreves, Columbia River volleyball, had a team-high 14 kills in a three- set win over Fort Vancouver.
  • Allen Kim, Skyview boys golf, shot 3-under 34 at Tri-Mountain as the Storm beat Prairie 166- 173.
  • Lauren Rabus, Washougal girls soccer, collected a hat trick, scoring the first three goals in a 7-2 win over La Center.
