Magenta Theater presents a live, in-person production of “Much Ado About Nothing” at 1108 Main St., Vancouver. This adaptation transports audiences to war-torn 1940s England. Performances are 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays, Sept. 10-25. Tickets are $20 at www.magentatheater.com or $22 at the door. Attendees must wear masks and show proof of vaccination or recent negative COVID-19 test.

Artsy-parksy

The Battle Ground Art Alliance will host Art in the Park, an outdoor art show and sale, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Kiwanis Park, 422 S.W. Second Ave., Battle Ground. Purchase original art and artisan works directly from local artists in an array of mediums. The Kiwanis will provide food and drink and there will be live music. Ridgefield rising

Experience Ridgefield, an annual community carnival, returns from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Ridgefield Administrative & Civic Center, 510 Pioneer St. Enjoy a game truck, inflatable bouncy house, miniature golf, face painting, potato sack races and photo booth. Paint a picnic

Downtown Camas is hosting Picnic in Color, a free family art event from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday along Fourth Avenue. Wear your brightest colors and enjoy art demonstrations, arts and crafts projects for kids with help from professional artists, art demonstrations and rubber ducks to decorate. Tailgate tales

Friends of the Woodland Community Library is hosting a Tailgate Book Sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the site of Woodland’s future library, 828 Goerig St. Pick up some great bargains from the pickup trucks parked on-site.
