Camas man flies flag since 9/11

CAMAS — Richard Bolger, who lives on Northwest Oregon Street in Camas, has flown the Stars and Stripes at his home since Sept. 12, 2001, in commemoration of the terrorist attacks the day before. Bolger says he hasn’t missed a day displaying Old Glory. He writes that the Columbia Gorge winds are hard on the flags’ seams and fabric, so he goes through about three per year. “I for one will never forget,” he wrote.
