Letter: A great treatment for your horse

If you are reading this letter and are either a horse or a cow and have intestinal parasites (worms), then by all means rush out and get a big dosage of ivermectin. It has been approved for this illness and in many cases has been effective in getting rid of the little invaders.

If you are a human being and have intestinal parasites, scientific studies have shown that doctor-regulated and much, much smaller doses may be effective in your case.

However, if you are a human being who believes the internet conspiracy rumors that ivermectin will fend off or cure COVID-19, please check out what has happened to those who have taken it. Some people have had serious drug reactions and have gotten COVID anyway.

Read “The anti-COVID vaccine crisis is all about mistrust. Ivermectin is a case in point” (MSNBC) and “Talk radio host with COVID regrets vaccine hesitancy” (AP News) for more complete explanations.

So, you cows and horses, big doses of ivermectin have your back. You humans, not so much. Vaccines save thousands of lives daily. Pay attention to the science, not the conspiracies.
