Junior quarterback Mitch Johnson threw for four touchdowns and Akili Kamau rushed for 129 yards as the Mountain View Thunder rode a huge first quarter to a romp over Wenatchee in a non-league game at McKenzie Stadium.

Mountain View (2-1) scored 16 points in the game’s first five minutes and put up 30 points in the first quarter. Johnson threw two touchdown passes to J.J. Thompson and one to Kyle Chen and Kamau added a 50-yard touchdown run. Kamau added a 42-yard touchdown run in the third quarter.

The Thunder also notched a safety on Wenatchee’s first play from scrimmage when the ball was snapped over the quarterback’s head through the back of the end zone.
