A stretch of Northeast 99th Street between Northeast 105th Avenue and 107th Avenue will close for the winter due to a sewer construction project, according to a press release from the Clark Regional Wastewater District.

The closure is scheduled to begin Monday and will continue until Feb. 28, although the start and end dates are weather-dependent. Local residents, emergency vehicles, and mail and delivery drivers will retain access to the closed segment during construction, but all other traffic will need to detour.

The $2.4 million project involves the construction of about 1,050 feet of 24-inch diameter gravity sewer line between Northeast 104th Avenue and 108th Avenue. The work is being carried out by Tapani Inc. of Battle Ground.
