COVID-19 cases dip in Clark County schools

Clark County school districts are reporting 49 new cases of COVID-19 in the past week, a slight decrease from the 53 cases last week. Weekly virus cases in schools are now experiencing a plateau in recent weeks after a monthslong pattern of steep decline began following the omicron surge in mid-January.

Health officials have warned that the increased use of at-home tests and difficulties providing in-office tests means that the true number of COVID-19 infections is likely to exceed the official statistics.

The following data is updated weekly on the Clark County Public Health website:

Evergreen Public Schools: 12 new cases between March 20 and March 27.

Vancouver Public Schools: 18 new cases between March 23 and March 29.

Battle Ground Public Schools: Seven new cases between March 19 and March 25.

Camas School District: Six new cases between March 20 and March 26.

Ridgefield School District: One new case between March 22 and March 28.

Hockinson School District: One new case between March 23 and March 30.

La Center School District: Three new cases between March 19 and March 25.

Washougal School District: One new case between March 23 and March 30.
